Ian's journey has been one of diverse experiences and dedication to service. He began with a BS in Civil Engineering from Washington State University, then served in the Navy as part of the Civil Engineer Corps. Afterward, he pursued further education, earning a law degree from the University of Utah.

Transitioning to the realm of higher education, Ian found fulfillment in supporting veterans and military-affiliated students, helping them navigate university life successfully. Raised near Seattle, Washington, Ian developed a passion for exploration, a trait further nurtured during his time in the Navy, which took him across the United States.

Currently residing in Utah with his spouse and two dogs, Ian continues his commitment to service, making a meaningful difference in the lives of others through his work in education.
